What happens next.
- Someone from the rooms will contact you within two business days.
- If your referral has not yet arrived, they will chase it with your GP.
- You will be offered an appointment within four weeks, and sooner if the problem is urgent. Say so if it is.
- A written fee estimate is provided before you attend.
While you wait.
Two things worth doing:
- Gather your imaging. The films or disc, not only the report. See what to bring.
- Write down what you have stopped doing. The specific activities the joint has taken from you are more useful in the room than a pain score.
If you need to reach the rooms in the meantime, call (07) 5493 8038, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm.
If your symptoms worsen significantly, or you develop fever, severe pain or a hot swollen joint, do not wait. Contact your GP, attend an emergency department, or call 000.
